Seeds of Wisdom: Stop Forcing Growth and Start Aligning With It

Beltane, the midpoint between Spring and Summer, is an important threshold moment. This is the time when all that has been forming quietly beneath the surface begins to become visible. When the quiet work of the previous season is made manifest.

This year, I am reminded that thresholds don’t move in only one direction.

Each year I marvel anew at how the spring bulbs remerge from below and bloom in full technicolor. And this year I am mourning the passage of my Mother into the unseen world as I celebrate her essence in every crocus, daffodil, and tulip. My Mother, Grace, died on April 14, 2026.

As I witness the full transformation of the physical world in this edge season between what is seen and unseen, I am comforted to know that no matter how dramatically form changes, essence remains. My mother’s essence lives in the laughs, smiles, and tears of each of her five children.

The Magic of Fairies

It was my mother who implanted my belief in the magic of fairies.

But, not in the way you might imagine.

Fairies in my family lore are stewards of the natural world… attentive to what is growing, responsive to what is needed, and deeply connected to the unseen forces that shape what eventually comes into form.

What I understand now is that she taught me that “magic” is not just good luck or coincidence.

It is a way of paying attention.

A way of participating.

A way of working with what is already designed to grow.

The magic of fairies isn’t about granting wishes; it’s in the unseen intentional force supporting every flower as she reaches her full potential. Their magic is the invisible support for what is already in the design of the flower.

Once you see it this way, it’s hard not to recognize the same pattern in your business. When your goals and intentions are aligned with the DNA of your business, they are the magic that brings your visions into being.

At the core of this DNA is your Essence.

The Magic of your Essence

The magic of your Essence is that it exists whether or not you are expressing it fully. Even though I moved across the continent in 1986 to create space between me and my mother, I cannot deny that I am Grace Hart’s daughter. All I need is look at her childhood pictures or hear my sister’s laugh to know her Essence lives on.

Since you are the progenitor of your business, your Essence runs through every post, blog, video, and program you create. A business that is not aligned with your Essence can look successful to onlookers, but it will feel heavier than necessary and progress will be hard won.

If you are feeling out of alignment, this time of Beltane is a perfect opportunity to tap into the magic of the fairies.

Remember, they don’t make the plant grow, they support what’s in alignment with the natural design of the flowers.

First, look for spaces and places in your business that are not working as well as you’d like. Consider removing, rearranging, or refining them so they are more in alignment with Essence – your natural way of functioning. Then set your intention for how you would like it to be.

Four Steps to Manifestation

Imagine it: Once you are clear about your intention, get quiet and imagine it as being complete already. Create a picture in your mind that helps you see the challenge as resolved.

Feel it: Next, replay that image several times and allow the feeling of accomplishment to settle into your heart. Feel the full breadth and depth of how you imagine it will be when you have achieved your intention.

Speak it: These two steps are foundational and most important but keeping it to yourself will thwart your progress. This is why its paramount that you share your intention with others. But not just anyone, especially when your idea is still forming. Choose partners who can hold the intention with you, like the Faries do for the flowers. This could be your coach, best friend who is also your biggest fan, or a trusted colleague. Do not share it with people who are likely to offer critique or discourage you from dreaming big.

Act in Accordance with it: The final step is to take clear and aligned action. Each day, take some action that is in accordance with your intention. This one is often the hardest step. You will encounter unforeseen obstacles, doubt yourself, have imperfect results, and get distracted along the way. But if you can make steady progress, you will be tapping into the real magic of the Faries, because they always support what is congruent.

I’m sorry to say, there is no magic fairy dust or special incantation. There is only participating in your own natural design.

Beltane is the season of making manifest what is already awaiting you in the unseen realm. There is a natural momentum that will guide what is in alignment into full bloom and allow what is out of alignment to fall away.

No need to push harder now, breath into the moment and grab hold of a Fairy hand and join the intentional dance around your visions.
